Quin is a Sunbeam. I took a secret picture of him on my phone during his first Sunday in Primary. He is in the front row in the red sweater vest. He is the child anxiously scanning the room to make sure his mother didn't leave. Quin's transition to Primary has been better than I thought. I am second counselor in Primary so I get to see his adjustment, and honestly I don't know if being in primary with him is a help or a hinderance to his adjustment. Either way, I love that I get to see him go to a "big boy class." So far he has-only had a few tears shed (mostly when he notices I have left the room)
-stuck his tongue out at his teacher once (as far as I have seen)
-stays in his chair although he is usually facing the back of the room where I am sitting.
I was proud of Quin this past Sunday. I was giving the lesson and we were talking about ways to get places. The children were listing things such as: cars, bus, airplane, bike. Quin excitedly stood from his chair during the lesson and said "Racecars!" That's my boy. I love this Sunbeam because he is a little ray of light in my life!
