More Quin Quotes

Take a good look.  This is a rare pic of Quin asleep.  You won't see another like it anytime soon.  This boy has kept me busy laughing at the funny things he says.  Here are a few of my recent favs:

1.  Lately Quin has been trying to convince me that Dallin's mom is waiting for him at the hospital.  On the way to his church we had this conversation:
Q:  "Dallin's mommy is at the hospital"
K:  "Wait a second.  Who is Dallin's brother?"
Q:  "Quin"
K:  "Who is Dallin's Daddy"
Q:  "Daddy"  (pointing to Bryce)
K:  "And I am Dallin's Mommy!"
Q:  "No, she's at the hosptial"

2.  Quin is officially potty trained.  (Hooray!)  Today we were putting on his favorite underpants that have James (a train) on them.  Speaking to his underpants he said.
"Don't worry James.  I won't get poop on you!"

3.  This Quin Quote is the best.  It is one of those sweet things you never want to forget...
"I want to go to the moon and see the stars.  Mommy will you come with me?"

Yep.  I will go with this kid to the moon and back!

How I Spend My Days

With two little ones I find that my days have a fairly consistent routine.  I wanted to dedicate this blog post to some of the main events on my daily schedule:
#1
I spend a significant chunk of my day recreating this episode of Thomas and Friends, called Day of the Diesels.  Quin is obsessed with the villainous Diesel 10 who tries to get rid of all the steam engines on the Island of Sodor by chasing them around with his creepy claw.  Quin finds great joy in speaking in a scary voice and chasing me around the house with this claws (aka pinching fingers) saying things like "I'm going to get you " or "You can run, but you can't hide."  That Diesel 10 is one fascinatingly bad dude.

#2
At some point in my day, I usually have a panic attack because I can't locate Dallin.  This kid is one sneaky crawler.  Our house has such an open layout that it is virtually impossible to keep him contained in one area. This kid's slogan is "don't fence me in."  He is content to spend his day crawling around the house and hiding behind large pieces of furniture where I can't find him at first glance causing me to have a mini-freak-out moment.
#3
I probably dedicate, on average, 30 minutes a day trying to locate the boys shoes (usually right before I am heading out the door) or trying to find the above stuffed animal: Dumbo Buddy.  Quin cannot sleep without Dumbo.  So usually around 8:00 each night I am ransacking the house trying to find where he put the stinking stuffed animal.  It is usually A) in the car B) by the potty C) in my bed D) some completely random place that you would never think to look.  It is usually located under option D

I didn't have a picture of this one so I included this one of Dallin with a really impressive double chin.  Notice his wild/slightly crusty hair.  Why does it look so crazy?  Dallin uses mashed banana's as hair gel.  I don't know what it is about the fruit but for some reason he really likes to mash it up in his hands and rub it in his hair.  Then he likes to throw whatever his left on the tray of his high chair on the ground.  I spend a lot of time cleaning up finger foods from the floor and trying to discover the best quick fix to banana mousse styling.

All in all, these boys keep me pretty busy on a day to day basis.  But I wouldn't have it any other way!
