This past year has gone by so fast! Our family is so blessed to have this little guy as a part of it. Here are a few thoughts about Dallin's first year:

1. I learned that Heavenly Father guides me in raising and helping my children! I know that Heavenly Father and the Spirit guided me in getting Dallin the help he needed the first month of his life, when we found he had a cleft palate.

2. Dallin was a smiler from the get-go. This little guy was so good-natured despite the fact that eating was one heck of a challenge. Here he is demonstrating the turtle-smile. Love it.

2. In Dallin's third month he became the connoisseur of bottles. We tried dozens of different bottles and nipples to find the right fit for him. Thank you Dr. Browns for making the right bottle and thank you Japan for shipping us some pigeon pieces to put inside!

4. Dallin was really quick to sit up on his own. This kid had one heck of a strong neck. He always wanted to be propped up so he could see what was going on. If he wasn't propped up, then by golly he would sit up himself!

5. Dallin's tummy issues finally settled down when we discovered how to help his acid-reflux. We are grateful for the many doctor's who have treated this little man and for his bouncer which he slept in the first 11 months of his life!

6. Dallin got chubby. Notice the beginnings of the double chin? Man. I love that double chin. Who knew a double chin could be loveable?

7. The drool really started to get out of control in the seventh month. Notice the wet ring around his neck. Yep, Dallin basically always has one of those. The kid has a lot of saliva flow!

8. Dallin perfected the tough guy face. In the above picture he is wearing his adorable, little reindeer hat. If I were to write a funny caption to this pick I would say:
Yeah I'm Ruldoph
Yeah my nose is red
And I don't need you other reindeers or your reindeer games!

9. Around nine months these pictures started to get really hard to take because Dallin fell in love with these blocks!

10. This was the second most stressful month because Dallin had his palate repaired. Heavenly Father answered our prayers and everything went smoothly. What a blessing!

11. Dallin loves patty-cake. It is his favorite thing to play. We always "mark the cake with a 'd' and through it in the air for Dallin in me." It sounds better!

12. Dilly-Dallin is one sweet little boy. We love him so much and are so grateful for the past year!
Happy Birthday Dilly!
